Purpose

To serve as a point of contact between a AFS Transport and its customers, with the primary focus of ensuring customer satisfaction. 

Role

A customer service representatives at AFS Transport are responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, managing orders and shipments, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships. Their role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, customer satisfaction, and the company's overall success.

Job Duties 

• Serve as the primary point of for our customers, provide exceptional customer service through various channels such as phone, email, and live chat.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring their needs are met effectively and efficiently.
• Provide accurate and detailed information about our services, pricing, options, and policies to assist customers in making informed decisions.
• Assist customers with placing orders, tracking shipments, processing payments, and resolving any transaction-related issues.
• Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers, guiding them through service usage, resolving technical problems, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to relay customer feedback, suggestions, and concerns, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional services to customers based on their needs and preferences.
• Meet and exceed individual and team targets for customer satisfaction, response time, and quality of service.
• Track and trace shipments and update customers where needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in customer service is a plus.
• Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate information clearly and concisely.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a focus on providing effective solutions to customer issues.
• Excellent active listening skills and the ability to empathize with customers' concerns and provide appropriate support.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Purpose

Role

An Inside sales rep plays a fundamental role in being the front-line sales contact for phone calls and email inquiries. You must be comfortable being the first point of contact for all customer sales and customer issues. A person who would be best suited for this position will be professional, friendly, and confident in themselves, have an ear for opportunity, the ability to learn and understand the technical aspects of Supply Chain Logistics. Must be confident in technology, the use of our computer system, apps, and websites. You must be a person who strives for customer service excellence.

Job Duties

• Provide a warm greeting to our inbound leads through phone, email and video conference calls
• Answer incoming calls in a prompt professional manner
• Process email communications in a professional and timely fashion
• Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate or Sales Rep for further development and closure
• Accurately enter touch points and transactions in our Customer Relations and Transport Management software system. 
• Provide quotes and follow up on those quotes
• Deal with customer complaints and issues in a prompt, friendly and professional manner, bringing the issue to the appropriate decision maker to rectify the issue.

To contribute to accurate and timely invoicing, financial stability, customer satisfaction, and compliance, playing a crucial role in the financial operations of AFS Transport

Job Duties 

• Generate accurate and timely invoices for services rendered, ensuring adherence to company policies and billing guidelines.
• Review and verify all billing-related documents, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and rate confirmations, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain billing records, customer accounts, and transaction details in the company's billing system or software.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve any issues or disputes with customers, collaborating with the customer service and operations teams as needed.
• Prepare and distribute customer statements, payment reminders, and past-due notices, following established procedures.
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring timely and complete collection of revenue.
• Respond to customer inquiries related to billing, payment details, and account statements in a professional and customer-centric manner.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures,  and providing necessary documentation to accountant.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes and resolve any billing-related issues.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, billing practices, and company policies to ensure compliance and accuracy in billing procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Billing Clerk or in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle numerical data with precision.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with billing software, spreadsheets, and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Purpose

Provide transportation services by operating their own tractor. Be responsible for delivering goods and materials from one location to another as per the agreed-upon terms and conditions with AFS Transportation.

Role

This role is pivotal to the smooth and efficient operation of our transportation services.  

Job Duties 

• Operate your own commercial vehicle, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods in accordance with company and industry regulations.
• Execute dispatched routes to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety standards.
• Adhere to federal, provincial, and local regulations, including hours-of-service, weight limits, and licensing requirements.
• Complete and maintain accurate records and documentation, such as Electronic Logbooks bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
• Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining professional and courteous communication with dispatchers, customers, and other company personnel.
• Take responsibility for the proper securement and handling of cargo during loading, transit, and unloading as required.
• Collaborate with company personnel to ensure efficient coordination of operations, load assignments, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain your truck and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and comply with safety and maintenance standards.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, following safe driving practices and promoting a safety-conscious culture.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 license with Air Brakes Endorsement
• Minimum of 3 years of trucking experience in Canada and 2 years  mountain experience.
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or accidents.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, provincial, and local regulations governing the trucking industry.
• Strong commitment to safety, following safe driving practices and promoting a safety-conscious work environment.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and company personnel.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation, reliability, and effective time management skills.
